Ensuring Your Health Before You Travel

We all like to travel and we tend to look for discount tickets and think about a cheap travel. But it is important that you check your health before you head out on that plane, car, bus or train. If you are taking medications, you should get an extra supply just in case you run out or get stuck in a location for a long period of time.
A health guide has been created for you to check when you travel;
- Air Quality – Make sure that the air on the plane is well circulated or you can suffocate especially if you suffer with an illness called asthma. If you have experienced any symptoms such as dry skin, unable to breathe, sweating constantly. Please check with your physician immediately before you begin your trip.
- A Pressurized Cabin - Check the pressure of the cabin, as it elevates into the sky. You can experience suffering in your breathing. It is in your best interest to have food and drink with you to avoid any mishaps.
- If you are pregnant when you fly – this is very important to check out before you attempt to fly. Always check with your doctor and have a check up to ensure you and your babies safety.
- A Fear of Flying - There are many people who have a fear of flying, but travel anyway. It is safe to fly, but as a precaution you should get a physical done for safety issues for yourself. A sedative may be prescribed to you by a doctor which will keep you calm during your flight.
- Jet Lag – A lot of people experience this symptom. It is not a new know symptom, that most of the time goes untreated. Seek your doctor and request for something mild to keep you calm. Another way to avoid jet lag is to make sure you are comfortable. You can request a pillow and blanket from the stewardess.
- Blood Clots – this is a rare symptom that can occur in anyone. To prevent your chances of this happening to you, do the following
1. Walk around the plane to avoid stiffness in your legs.
2. Do not sleep for long period of time or you temporary lose the blood flow in legs.
Aspirin is recommended on a daily basis to avoid heart attacks, it will help you when you take a plane trip.
Another very important tip about your health and flying is;
- Get plenty or rest.
- Drink lots of water during your trip.
- Make sure that you eat a balanced meal to avoid jetlag.
- Avoid alcohol at all costs.
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
- Get up and walk a couple of time to keep the blood flowing in your body.
- Always seek your doctor each and every time you fly.
- Make the necessary adjustments to avoid jetlag.
- If you have an illness or pregnant you always want to check with your doctor to ensure your health and safety issues.
I hope you enjoyed this tips and have a nice vacation.
