Keeping Safe while Traveling Alone

This will give you information where you are and how you can get back.
- Keep copies of all your identification and passport and leave with you’re a trusted source if needed at a later time.
- Hotel Safety – Whether traveling alone or with family always keep your doors lock and be aware of your surroundings.
- Communication – Always keep a phone in good working condition on you at all times. If you are in need of an emergency, you should be able to call someone.
- Be Alert – Always be confident and not frail while traveling. Never seem unsure about your whereabouts. A crook will take advantage of your vulnerability.
- Protect your valuables – If you cannot lock anything up while traveling, you should leave it at home for safety.
- Limit your amount of cash – Never flash your cash in public, and keep your purse safely secured on you. Carry all your cash, and identification securely where it cannot be pulled or yanked off of you.
- Shopping – If you decide to go in a store or restaurant, you should stay in a well lit area and it is good to stay amongst a crowd of people. Never let anyone see that you are alone.
